The most important questions about your stay – at Vienna’s most central

  • Is the Boutique Hotel on Stephansplatz open? – Yes, we are also open during the current lockdown. The accommodation of corporate travelers is permitted, unfortunately overnight stays for tourist purposes cannot be accepted up to expected and expected until 15th May 2021. The Cafe Giacomo Aragall is closed until expected until 15th May 2021. Breakfast for house guests will of course still be offered.
  • I am travelling from abroad, what should I bear in mind? – Persons entering Austria from abroad have to register online in advance since 15.01.2021 (Pre-Travel Clearance). Information on this and the registration form can be found HERE
  • I cannot arrive, will my deposit be forfeited? – If entry from your country of origin is not possible for your travel date due to Corona regulations, the travel can be postponed to a new date. This also applies in the case of stricter quarantine regulations. The deposit that has already been paid will then be offset against your new travel date.
  • How long will my deposit be counted towards a rebooking? – We are currently offering rebooking to a new travel date until December 28th, 2021.
  • How can I rebook to a new travel date? – If you made your reservation directly at the hotel or via, please contact the hotel by email at If you booked with or an Expedia booking platform such as If you have booked via, please contact your booking provider.
  • Will the hotel incur any rebooking or processing fees? – no.

Which measures apply to events?

The following measures apply since November 3rd, 2020 for events until expected until 15th May 2021 (subject to change):

  • If it is a business event or a business training course and no gastronomic services are provided, these are currently still permitted.
  • Gastronomic catering of event participants (except tap water) is not permitted.
  • A minimum distance of 2 metres and the wearing of an FFP2 mask during the entire event is mandatory, also at the seating area!
  • There is generally no specific time up to which events may be held, as the lockdown restrictions do not apply to business meetings and training purposes.
  • The maximum group size indoor for unassigned and marked places (= free choice of places) is 6 people.
  • If there are more than 6 people indoors, there is an official notification requirement, including a prevention concept. Our reservations department will send this form to the organizer in time before the start of the event and must be filled out by the organizer and forwarded to the authorities.
  • Regular ventilation in the premises, e.g. during breaks, it is strongly recommended!
  • The management is responsible as a Covid-19 contact person.
